“Think big and your deeds will grow, think small and you’ll fall behind; think that you can and you will; it’s all in a state of mind.” –From the poem “A State of Mind” author anonymous.
Captain of the Holy Cross Field Hockey team
Member of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee
Why did you chose to become an MPE?
Often the hardest conversations to have are also the most important conversations. I chose to become a Multicultural Peer Educator so that I could help students carry on these courageous dialogues about race, sexual orientation, ethnicity, class, and gender.
In doing so I am able to help more Holy Cross students embrace differences among themselves and form friendships with people from all walks of life.
I believe my MPE experience will help me in the future because I will have further developed my leadership and communication skills, I will be a leader in developing cross-cultural relationships, and I will not be hesitant to take part in necessary and courageous dialogues.
