Student Support List

For Computers Purchased through our Bookstore

You can expect:

  • Support for software that comes with the computer
  • On-site depot for hardware repairs (via the Help Desk) per the Dell Warranty
  • Computer support in the Residence Halls
  • Re-installation of software purchased with the computer at any time
  • Complete system reimages in the case of a corrupted OS
  • Guaranteed network connection to Holy Cross services
For Computers Brought from Home
You can expect:
  • Network connectivity, e-mail, and calendaring software to be provided, which you install yourself
  • First-year students can pick up instructions for installation on move-in day in the Hogan Campus Center.  Information is also at the Help Desk Office (Fenwick 021)
  • Troubleshooting of network connectivity problems in Residence Halls
  • Support for MS Windows and MS Office, as well as other software that Holy Cross provides to students
  • Students to provide their own support for:
    • All software not currently provided to students by Holy Cross
    • Any hardware problems or repairs
    • Computers that do not meet ITS minimum requirements
    • Hardware installations/upgrades
