Student Minimum Requirements for Fall 2009

Please Note:  These requierments are updated at least once a year, sometimes twice.

If you plan to bring your own computer from home, the following are the minimum requirements for access to the Holy Cross network. We recommend that you purchase your computer with the 10/100 Ethernet LAN card preinstalled, if possible.

  • PC/Intel
    • Pentium 3 or equivalent with Windows XP
    • 512 MB RAM
    • 5 Gb free space on hard drive
    • On Board Ethernet

  • Laptop
    • Pentium 3 or equivalent with Windows XP
    • 512 MB RAM
    • 5 Gb free space on hard drive
    • On Board Ethernet

  • Macintosh
    • Power Macintosh G4, iMac, iBook, PowerBook, eMac, MacMini
    • Intel Macs-iMac, MacPro, MacBook Pro, MacBook, MacMini
    • OS X.3 
    • 512 MB RAM
    • 5 Gb free space on hard drive
    • On Board Ethernet
