For Computers Purchased through our Bookstore
You can expect:
*Support for software that comes with the computer
*On-site depot for hardware repairs (via the Helpdesk) per the Dell Warranty
*Computer support in the Residence Halls
*Re-installation of software purchased with the computer at any time
*Complete system reimages in the case of a corrupted OS.
*Guaranteed network connection to Holy Cross services
For Computers Brought from Home
You can expect:
*Network connectivity, e-mail, and calendaring software to be provided, which you install yourself.
*First-year students can pick up instructions for installation on move-in day in the Hogan Campus Center. Information is also at the Help Desk Office (Fenwick 021).
*Troubleshooting of network connectivity problems in Residence Halls
*Support for MS Windows and MS Office, as well as other software that Holy Cross provides to students.
*Students to provide their own support for:
All software not currently provided to students by Holy Cross
Any hardware problems or repairs
Computers that do not meet ITS minimum requirements
Hardware installations/upgrades
