Rev. George Pattery, S.J.About the Speaker: Rev. George Pattery, S.J., an International Visiting Jesuit Scholar at Holy Cross for the Fall 2011 semester, is former Provincial Superior of the Jesuits in Calcutta and Bangladesh. A native of India, he is author of two books, "Satyagraha A Holistic Way of Liberating Solidarity" and "Gandhi - The Believer: An Indian Christian Perspective."

About the Talk: Pattery offers collective memories of Gandhi's life, his response to them, and interpretations of political thought that involve healing and forgiveness.
