Electronic Reserves (ERes)

E-Res by Docutek is browser-based program that enables faculty & staff to make course reserve materials available on-line. Training sessions are offered throughout the year. Please contact Eileen Cravedi (x2672) for additional information. 

  • A new option available for course reserve materials (the option of hard copy reserves will continue to be an option).
  • Is accessible 24 hours a day / 7 days a week from anywhere in the world as long as you have computer access to the Internet.
  • Tracks Copyright compliance.
  • Utilizes password protection at the course level (a requirement for Copyright compliance using electronic reserve systems).
  • Provides communication module functionality via Discussion (Bulletin) Board and Chat Room.
  • Allows you to have control over your course page & reserve materials by easily uploading documents, slide presentations, image files, as well as .pdf formatted readings. The library will create & manage your course reserve page if you would like.  You decide what level of involvement and control you would like in managing your course page. 
  • Easily adds links to useful Web sites.
Options for getting material onto the ERes system include:
  • Fax to 508-793-3843 and associate with course page
  • Scan document, convert to .pdf format, upload to system and associate with course page
  • Linking to electronic text from one of the Library’s licensed databases or electronic journal subscriptions.
