JOHN THE BAPTIST

St. John the Baptist holding shield with the Lamb © Raguin/MMK, stained glass, St. Kunibert, Cologne, c. 1220-30. His scroll reads in Latin, Ecce Agnus Dei, Ecce Qui Tollit Behold the lamb of God, behold him who takes (away the sins of the world). The donor is depicted at his feet.
