| Holy
Cross students may spend a semester or a year in Russia,
either in St.
Petersburg at St. Petersburg University or the St. Petersburg
State Pedagogical Institute, or in Moscow
at the Moscow State Linguistics University. These Programs, operated in partnership with The School for Russian and Asian Studies,
offer excellent instruction in language, culture, and a
variety of elective topics. Each provides the student with
a structured introduction to the cultural sites of his/her
city of choice. Whether living in private homes or in well-supervised
dormitories, the students are free to explore St. Petersburg
and Moscow as residents. Holy Cross monitors the academic
quality of these programs and maintains close ties with
the faculty of the Russian universities. Many programs now
offer internships to students as part of their curriculum.
Students of Russian at Holy Cross have already taken advantage
of this opportunity to live and work in one of the world's
most exciting countries.
