GroupWise
Email
To access your Holy Cross e-mail you need a GroupWise password.
If you are able to access your e-mail while on-campus without
putting in a password you do not have one and must create
one. To create a password open GroupWise and go to: Tools
| Options | Security.
To
check your e-mail while abroad, browse to the Holy Cross
home page (http://www.holycross.edu)
and click the Web Services Link. Once on the Web Services
page* click the HC Email - GroupWise link. You will be asked
for your username (ksmith, not .ksmith.C12005.hc)
and the GroupWise password you created before you left.
Course
Management System
To access the Holy Cross Course Management System you will
need to know your Network username and Network password.
You can access the Course Management System by browsing
to the Holy Cross home page (http://www.holycross.edu)
and clicking the Web Services link. Once on the Web Services
page* click the Course Management System link. The Course
Management System is also available at http://cms.holycross.edu.
Student
Web Services
To access the Student Web Services (which includes on-line
course guide and bills as well as other services), you will
need to use your Network username and Network password.
To access Student Web Services, browse to the Holy Cross
home page (http://www.holycross.edu)
and click the Web Services Link. Once on the Web Services
page* click the Student Services link.
STAR
Services
To access the STAR Services (which includes on-line course
guide and bills as well as other services), you will need
to use your STAR username and STAR password. Links are available
by browsing the Holy Cross home page (http://www.holycross.edu)
and clicking the Web Services Link. Once on the Web Services
page* click the STAR link for Off-Campus Students.
Setting/Changing
Passwords
If you forget or need to change your network or e-mail password,
you can change it on-line by browsing to the Holy Cross
home page (http://www.holycross.edu)
and clicking the Web Services link. From the Web Services
page* click either Forgot your network password?
or Forgot your e-mail password? link. When resetting
your passwords you will be asked for your Full Name, User
Name, Social Security Number (without the hyphens) and your
Holy Cross ID number (including the HC). New network passwords
must be at least 8 characters long and cannot be something
you have used previously. Network passwords will be available
immediately after requested. New e-mail passwords are case
sensitive and will be available within 4 business hours
of request.
