Holy Cross encourages all students to consider studying in another country and living in a culture beyond their own during their undergraduate years. Holy Cross Study Abroad provides exciting and valuable opportunities for students in virtually every discipline.

Whether studying in another language or exploring an English-speaking culture, Holy Cross Study Abroad students officially enroll in internationally-renowned host universities. You are fully immersed, active participants in the international communities in which you live. In addition to a full course load, you develop independently-designed community-based learning projects, internships, or co-curricular activities related to your individual passions and interests. Holy Cross also excels in foreign-language programs (Chinese, French, German, Italian, and Russian) by offering intensive, pre-program language instruction as well as linguistic and tutorial support throughout the year.

Holy Cross manages all relationships with international host institutions directly and personally evaluates all programs. At each host university, Holy Cross employs at least one advisor (often more) to serve as a dedicated resource for Holy Cross students. Students who study abroad also receive academic guidance, and where appropriate, ongoing linguistic and tutorial assistance specifically overseen by Holy Cross’ Study Abroad office.
