National Institute of Mental Health - www.nimh.nih.gov    NIMH is part of the National Institues of Health.  This site provide a wealth of information on current behavioral and biomendical research, is an important source of "press release" information, and identifies its publications on mental illnesses.

 

Mental Wellness.com - www.mentalwellness.com    An interesting site sponsored by a pharmaceutical company (Janssen) and a worthwhile place to begin studying schizophrenia.  The site has a collection of firsthand stories as well as a list of people who made real contributions despite their mental illness.

 

Schizophrenia.com - www.schizophrenia.com    A non-for-profit information and education center, their site provides links to other information and basic schizophrenia information disagnosis, medication, and treatment.  The site offers information to students and researchers.  There is a page of first-person accounts, legal issues, coping tips, and Dr. E. Fuller Torrey, a distinguished psychiatrist.
