Bats

Barn owls sometimes live in the same cave
A spear-nosed bat's body is about three inches long
The long-eared bat lives in attics
Some caves contain thousands or millions of bats.

 

Alligators

Alligators are fierce reptiles
Lives alone most of the time
Lies in the shade to keep cool
It can run as fast as me
Gators can run up to 20 mph
Alligators can eat almost any kind of animal
They live in wet and dry places
Only lives in ponds, swamps, marshes, canals,and rivers.
Related to the crocodile
 

Gray Wolf

Grabs its prey with its teeth
Red-yellow and yellow-gray colored fur
Adult can get as big as six and a half feet long
Yelps at the moon

Won't attack a human
One wolf can't take down an animal
Lives in packs
Food is small birds or mice
 

Koala

Keeps their young in a pouch until five or six months old
Older females usually have one joey every two years
Are fully grown by third or fourth year
Lives in different parts of Australia
Australia is the only place on earth that they live
Several names are named for baby koalas such as: joey,
    cub, back young,or pouch young
 

Killer Whales

Lives by the surface
Lives by the poles and the equator
Eat seals, fish, and sea lions
Race up to 55 mph

Will eat a lot of meat
Hits boats sometimes

Lives far away

Swims fast
 

Tigers

Great at hunting
Eats up to 55 pounds
Roar can be heard from two miles away

Monkeys

Nurses its young
Keeps living in the wild for five to eight years
Eagles eat monkeys
Yellow light means they are a bit endangered
Some monkeys have pouches in their cheeks.

In grassy lands they live

Objects are hard to see
Circles around a rhino when it's in battle

Rhinos eat grass
One time Rhinos lived in every country

The beak is a weapon
Likes to play with other sea animals
Eats a school of fish in packs

On the land some fish for dinner

Eyes are good for looking for enemies

Does not hurt people
Orange light means the moon is coming up-they have to pick a
    safe place to sleep
Likes to swim in water
Protects its young
Has good swimming skills
It lets the calf go when it's two years old.
Name is Tursiops truncatus
 
 

Male Mountain Gorillas

Males weigh 297-450 pounds
Attacks enemies when they see intruders
Large males let young crawl on them
Endangered a lot of the time

Males size is 5.3-5.9 feet high
Older males have gray hair on their backs and are called Silverbacks
Uganda, Rwuanda , and Zaire are places where it lives
Need only a small part of their strength to get food
A gorilla will scare intruders by beating its chest
If you consider they may grow to be 400 pound adult, that's a lot
    of growing!
Not aggressive toward humans

Gorilla gorilla is its scientific name
On the average the baby only weighs four pounds
Rare mountain gorillas are at high altitudes
In the rainforest lowlands
Like young children, young gorillas like to wrestle and tumble
    around a lot
Lowland gorillas are living in rainforests where the trees are
    being cut down
At night they may break branches to build beds on the ground
Search long distances for food
