Seminar: Ethnographic Field Methods
Spring 2006

Ethnography Response Form

Instructions: This form is designed to get you to think critically about the theoretical contributions and methodological approaches raised by each week's readings. It is also intended to spark ideas about how you might relate the points raised or methods used to your own research.

You should complete one form for each week's readings and include it with the fieldnotes you submit in class. If the readings for the week include one primary ethnography, you may focus your response on that book. If smaller selections from different works are assigned, feel free to focus on one or two. You might also decide to respond critically to the overall themes which emerge from three or more articles.
