 The Olympic Flame recently traveled the world via car, airplane, train,
ship, dog sled, skier, horse-drawn sleigh, snowmobile, ice skaters, prairie
schooner ... and Crusader!
Holy Cross was well-represented during the recent Winter Games as four
alumni and one current student served as torchbearers on the
ceremonial cross-country Olympic Torch Relay to Salt Lake City. Karen Ahern
'80, Michael
Casey '90, Stephanie Collingwood '02, Schone Malliet '74 and
Robert Warchol '94 participated in the relay, which began on Dec. 4, 2001,
in Atlanta,
Ga., and arrived in Salt Lake City, Utah, on Feb. 8, 2002,
for the start of the Winter Games.
