Flynn has been appointed to serve on the Connecticut Commission on the Death Penalty—a nine-person commission recently created by the Connecticut General Assembly to review various aspects of the death penalty in Connecticut. Flynn is an attorney with the Hartford, Conn., law firm of LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae. Reed C. Kleinle and his wife, Joanne, announce the birth of their daughter, Anne Smith, on Sept. 7. Kleinle is a partner with the Morristown, N.J., law firm of Uffelman, Rodgers, Kleinle & Mets. Nancy (Faria) Meaney and her husband, John, announce the birth of their daughter, Lauren Josephine, on Sept. 11.

Aieta was named "Teacher of the Year" at St. Cecilia Academy in Nashville, Tenn.; he also presented a paper on 19th-century Nebraska history at the Organization of American Historians Conference in Los Angeles, Calif. Kathleen E. "Katie" Feeley is art director for PentaMark Worldwide, a division of BBDO in Troy, Mich.; she is currently working on Jeep and Chrysler advertising. Feeley also coaches the University of Michigan women's lacrosse club team in Ann Arbor. Courtney R. Herbert, M.D., is a resident in dermatology at the Tulane University Medical Center in New Orleans, La. Kevin J. Malley and his wife, Lucy, announce the birth of their son, Matthew Charles, on Oct. 1. Malley currently serves as an assistant vice president in the defined contribution division of Putnam Investments in Norwood, Mass. Mary E. McGoldrick is now a vice president, management supervisor, at Grey Advertising in New York City. Amy Fisher Quinn and her husband, Andrew, announce the birth of their son, Kevin Bailey, on Sept. 20. Mary E. "Melissa" Ryan and her husband, Joe, announce the birth of their son, Joseph Patrick, on Nov. 30. After completing a residency in internal medicine, Christopher L. Schiessl has relocated to San Francisco, Calif., where he has accepted a position with Kaiser Permanente.

Maryellen Flaherty-Hewitt, M.D., is completing her year as chief resident of pediatrics at New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. Meghan Cecil Gehan and her husband, John, announce the birth of their son, Riley Finn, on Sept. 13. Wendy Skolds Gustavel and her husband, Chris, announce the birth of their daughter, Eleanor Abigail, on Sept. 26. Gregory W. Hewitt, who completed his Ph.D. in organic chemistry at SUNY-Stony Brook in March 2001, is now a senior scientist at Beta Pharma Inc., a pharmaceutical company in New Haven, Conn. David C. Quirk and his wife, Jennifer, announce the birth of their son, Joshua Dillon Adler, on Oct. 19. Jennifer (Lindwall) Schwab, M.D., and her husband, Jim, announce the birth of their son, Matthew Forrest, on Nov. 17. Schwab is currently working as a pediatrician in Rocky Hill, Conn., in practice with John H. "Jack" Lavalette, M.D., '91 and John Fote, M.D. Annie Long Sullivan and her husband, Kevin '89, announce the birth of their twins, Caroline Elizabeth and Caitlin Maeve, on Aug. 31. Brian M. Kiki Donis-Wahl and her husband, Brian '94, announce the birth of their daughter, Olivia Artemis, on Sept. 12. Capt. Peter J. Mahoney, USMC, who received his master's degree in material logistics support management from the Naval Postgraduate School in December 2000, was assigned to the Marine Corps Logistics Base in Albany, Ga.; he currently works on strategic planning issues. Alexander A. Merati has been promoted to the position of information systems analyst at Whitman-Walker Clinic in Washington, D.C., where he has worked since 1998. Jonathan E. Racek recently won a design award from the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Los Angeles, for furniture he has designed and built. Craig A. Repec and his wife, Britta, announce the birth of their son, Ian Alistair, on May 4. Repec is project manager EDI/eCommerce in the area of EAN Standards at the Centrale für Coorganisation GmbH (CCG) in Cologne, Germany. Melissa (Poyant) Simpson and her husband, Michael, announce the birth of their daughter, Savannah Abigail, on March 2, 2001. Law School in May, now works as an attorney for the city of Albany. Natalie F. Mack, who recently retired from professional figure skating after almost four years of performing in tours around the United States, has accepted a position with MTA Inc., a sports agency and management firm in Cleveland, Ohio, that specializes in NBA basketball. Rafael E. Millares, who received his degree on May 20 from Notre Dame (Ind.) Law School, was sworn in as prosecutor at the Florida State Attorney's Office on Sept. 14. Andrea L. Nicolay has recently been promoted to assistant editor at Bantam Dell, a division of Random House in New York City. Amy D. Spada, who is pursuing her master's degree in French at Middlebury (Vt.) College, is currently living and studying in Paris, France. Peadar A. Wall, who has relocated to the Washington, D.C., area, works for the law firm of Miller Chevalier and attends Catholic University School of Law.

Jonathan L. Baron, USNR, was recently designated a naval aviator while serving with the Helicopter Training Squadron Eight, Naval Air Station, Whiting Field, Milton, Fla.; Baron received the "wings of gold," marking the culmination of his flight training. Last summer, Denis T. Brogan interned at the New York Stock Exchange, division of enforcement, with Joseph A. Sack '90. Stephanie L. Lewis has joined the staff of the Montrose School in Natick, Mass., as an English teacher. Gina D. Martin is in her first year at the University of Vermont Medical School in Burlington. Christine Johnson Monahan is currently pursuing her master of arts in teaching social studies degree at Rivier College, Nashua, N.H. Timothy R. Trachimowicz is working for Small World Technologies, a network security firm in Worcester.

Bestpitch currently serves as a financial advisor at Legg Mason in Amherst, N.Y., and works part time as a high school football coach. Christopher J. Brislin works as an event planner in Newport, R.I. Charles H. Chiesa, who has been working at Brown Brothers Harriman in Boston for one year, is a senior client account manager of investor services. Daniel P. Monahan is currently working as an assistant director of admissions at Rivier College, Nashua, N.H. Karl S. Neubecker, who is currently a first-year physician associate student in the Yale University School of Medicine, New Haven, Conn., is pursuing his master's degree. A nationally certified firefighter/EMT, Neubecker serves as a lieutenant in a heavy rescue squad in New York; he joined fellow New York firefighters in responding to the World Trade Center attack on Sept. 11.
