Joanne de Guardiola, an interior designer, is the president of Joanne de Guardiola Design Inc., in New York City; the September 2000 edition of Architectural Digest featured the article, "Joanne de Guardiola/Blending Arts and Antiques in her 1850s Manhattan Town House." Kathleen (Cavanaugh) Korycki and her husband, Mirek, announce the birth of their son, Neil Patrick, on Sept. 3, 1999. The Dec. 6 edition of the Lancaster (Mass.) Times featured a profile of Rev. John F. Madden III, who has served as pastor of Our Lady of Jasna Gora Parish, Clinton, Mass., since 1998. Ronald K. Perry spoke to student athletes at B.M.C. Durfee High School, in Fall River, Mass., as part of the "Life's Playbook Program," sponsored by Verizon Communications. Perry, a commercial real estate agent in Boston, is one of 40 distinguished members of the Verizon Academic All-American Hall of Fame who are speaking to students across the country as part of this program.

Ferriter, a member of the Holyoke, Mass., law firm of Lyon Ferriter & Fitzpatrick, teaches municipal and employment law at the University of Massachusetts Donahue Institute in Boston. In October, LeCroy Corp., Chestnut Ridge, N.Y., announced the appointment of Thomas H. Reslewic as president of the company; he is to continue in his present position as chief operating officer. Michael J. Tuohey maintains a private law practice in Rochester, N.Y.

John T. Andreoli was recently elected vice chair of the board of trustees of the Worcester Medical Center / St. Vincent Hospital, the newly constructed medical complex in downtown Worcester. Lauren Battista Ehlers is president of DesignerOutlet.com, an Internet company she started four years ago. In September, ChannelWave Software Inc., Cambridge, Mass., announced the appointment of Robert W. Guillocheau as the chief financial and operating officer of the company. Kevin F. Healy, D.D.S., and his wife, Sarah-Ann, announce the birth of their child, Dylan, on June 15. Healy, who is with the U.S. Embassy in Peru, served as an observer with the Organization of American States for the Peruvian presidential elections. Christopher J. Kelly and his wife, Shirley '83, announce the birth of their daughter, Emma Rice, on March 3. In September, Rhode Island Gov. Lincoln Almond announced the appointment of Thomas F. Kogut as acting deputy director of communications.  Christopher M. Millard has accepted a position as vice president of development and a partner at Kestrel Communications, a television/Internet programming and production company in Atlanta, Ga. Mark E. Reid is now the manager of programming development with Seacoast Laboratory Data Systems Inc. in Portsmouth, N.H.

John P. Delea Jr. has been named the chief financial officer of Quantum Bridge Communications Inc., based in Andover, Mass. Margherita M. Desy, who became the curator of the USS Constitution Museum in Boston in October 1999, provided color commentary on the live simulcast of Boston's WCVB Channel 5 / History Channel coverage of "Sail Boston 2000," the tall ships event which took place in July. Rev. Kevin G. Donovan is currently serving as the administrator of Sacred Heart Parish, Waterbury, Conn. Shirley C. Kelly and her husband, Christopher '82, announce the birth of their daughter, Emma Rice, on March 3. Timothy J. Mahoney is the director of equity trading for the Americas at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (MLIM), Merrill Lynch's asset management group in Princeton, N.J. Joseph A. Newell, M.D., and his wife, Ellen, announce the birth of their daughter, Marissa Rose, on April 12, 1999. Newell continues to practice pediatrics in Norwich, Conn.

Korchak is the senior assistant district attorney in Binghamton, N.Y. Diane (MacNutt) Landers and her husband, Philip, announce the birth of their daughter, Evelyn Natalie, on Jan. 22, 2000. Sherry B. Levin is now vice president, communications, for Mr. Golf Development. In addition to managing "Shirley Levin's All-Stars Basketball Camps" at Brandeis University, Waltham, Mass., she serves as an analyst for women's basketball on national television. Christa M. Sheehan has recently been promoted to regional business manager for New England at Bloomberg Financial Markets in New York City.

J. Matthew Hanna '89
In November, VH1 announced that J. Matthew Hanna has been promoted to director of music news. Hanna, who joined VH1 in 1997 as assignment editor, is responsible for continuing to develop the VH1 News brand; in this capacity he oversees VH1 Music News programming, including daily news segments, the new weekly VH1 Music News segment on "Entertainment Tonight" and hourlong specials with TV Guide and Money Magazine. He is also in charge of coverage for special events such as the Grammy Awards and the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame.
