Jeffrey T. Wilcox, director of public safety, has announced
his retirement from the College. Arriving at Holy Cross
in April 1993, he previously had served as director of
public safety at the University of Hartford in Connecticut
and at Western New England College in Springfield , Mass.
A Certified Protection Professional of the American Society
of Industrial Security, Wilcox is a graduate of the Command
Training School at Babson College , Babson Park , Mass.
The recipient of the 2001 President’s Award from
the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement
Administration, he has served as secretary/treasurer and
president of the Massachusetts Association of College
and University Public Safety Directors.
“Chief Wilcox has been a stable influence and a valuable
resource,” says Jacqueline D. Peterson, vice president
for student affairs and dean of students. “During Jeff’s
tenure as director, the Office of Public Safety has experienced
many positive changes toward maintaining a safe and vibrant
campus for students, faculty and staff. We thank him for
his service.”
