Ann
Marie F. Lizzi, the production manager for Time Warner Cable
Advertising in Albany, N.Y., is co-producer and editor of
the new, award-winning feature film Dorian Blues.
Written and directed by Tennyson Bardwell, the film - a
comedy/drama about the coming-out of an upstate New York
high school senior named Dorian Lagatos - premiered
at the Cinequest Film Festival, San José, Calif.,
in March, where it received the Audience Award for Best Narrative
Feature Film and the Emerging Maverick Award. Dorian
Blues subsequently won the Audience Award for Best Narrative
Feature Film at the Lake Placid (N.Y.) Film Festival and
Best Screenplay at the Newfest Film Festival in
New York City.
Lizzi began her career in the film and television industry
as a freelancer, working on numerous films and commercials
from New York to Los Angeles. She has also owned her own
production company and served three years as the director
of local news.
Active in several professional organizations, Lizzi serves
as the Northeast area director of the National Board of American
Women in Radio and Television (AWRT) and as a board of director
on the NYS Capital District Chapter Board of AWRT. She is
also director of the Albany Ad Club and the public relations
chairperson for the Albany Italian-American Community Center.
Lizzi has received numerous awards, including: the Northeastern
American Marketing Association’s commendation for marketing
excellence; a New York State Emmy Award; an AWRT Gracie Allen
Award; plus several Cable Advertising Bureau, Telly and Nori
awards.
She is currently pursuing her M.B.A. at Union University
in Schenectady, N.Y.
