Frank W. Barry Jr.
March 13, 2003
In Connecticut, at 75. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Barry had worked 40 years
for the Aetna Life Insurance Co. in Hartford, Conn. He joined the company in
1951 and served for many years in the general liability/umbrella product management
area. As director, Mr. Barry had been a member of the insurance industrys
Insurance Service Offices General Liability Committee in New York City;
he was involved in developing the industrys simplified commercial general
liability policy. A member of the Society of Chartered Property & Casualty
Underwriters Insurance Association, Mr. Barry had also been a member of the American
Insurance Associations Insurance Liability Committee. He completed two
years of military service before attending Holy Cross. Mr. Barry is survived
by his wife, Rita; a son; a daughter; two brothers, including M. Peter 55;
and seven grandchildren.
John P. Curran, D.D.S.
March 22, 2003
At Candler Hospital, Savannah, Ga., at 73. Prior to his
retirement, Dr. Curran had maintained an orthodontics practice
for many years in East Norwalk, Conn. He served two years
as a dentist in the Navy, attaining the rank of lieutenant
junior grade. Dr. Curran is survived by his wife, Elizabeth;
three sons; a daughter; and four grandchildren.
Robert T. Brackett
Feb. 2, 2003
In Florida, at 67. During his career, Mr. Brackett had
worked many years as a sales representative for Raytheon,
Honeywell and Pioneer. He is survived by his wife, Valerie;
a son; three daughters; a brother; a sister; 13 grandchildren;
two nephews and three nieces.
Henry R. Radoski
March 4, 2003
At his home in Sudbury, Mass., at 66. A civilian employee
for the U.S. government, Mr. Radoski worked 36 years for
the Department of the Air Force, retiring in 1998. At the
start of his career, he had been a seismologist at Weston
(Mass.) Observatory; he later did research for A.F.C.R.L.
at Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford, Mass. Mr. Radoski then
relocated to the Washington, D.C., area, where he worked
as a physicist for the Air Force; he returned to Sudbury
following retirement. Mr. Radoski is survived by his wife,
Elizabeth; three sons; a grandson; and a sister.
John C. Corrigan Jr.
May 20, 2003
At his home in Fall River, Mass., at
65. Mr. Corrigan had been employed as an
attorney with Corrigan, Johnson & Tudor
of Fall River and Boston for 15 years; previously, he had
been associated with the Boston firm of Parker Coulter Dailey & White.
During his career, Mr. Corrigan had served as press secretary
to the late former Rhode Island Gov. John Chafee Sr. He had
also taught philosophy, theology and English at Salve Regina
College, Newport, R.I., and led a biannual trial advocacy
workshop at Harvard Law School, Cambridge, Mass. A Lizzie
Borden scholar, Mr. Corrigan had appeared on the History
Channel as an expert on her trial. In commemoration of its
100th anniversary, he reenacted the trial at the New Bedford
(Mass.) Trial Court and also appeared in a play in Bristol,
R.I., with the late actor Anthony Quinn. Mr. Corrigan is
survived by a brother, Dominic F., M.D., 63; two nephews;
a niece, Elisabeth A. 95; and many cousins. His father
was the late John C. 25.
John D. Bombard
July 2, 2003
Of Port Jefferson, Long Island, N.Y.,
at 24. As a student at Holy Cross, Mr.
Bombard had been a member of the varsity
ice hockey and baseball teams and an Army ROTC battalion
commander. We are deeply saddened by Johns death, says
Holy Cross head hockey coach, Paul Pearl. He was a
wonderful young man who worked as hard, both on and off the
ice, as any player that I have ever coached. His teammates
and coaches truly loved him and will miss him dearly. Mr.
Bombard is survived by his parents; two brothers; a sister;
his grandmother; a nephew and a niece; uncles and aunts;
cousins; and friends.
