of women’s studies at Minnesota State University in Mankato;
her book, Rape on the Public Agenda: Feminism and the Politics
of Sexual Assault, was published by Northeastern University
Press in 2000. Nellie Heffernan and Michael W. Casey announce
the birth of their daughter, Riley Eileen, on Feb. 18. Timothy
P. Donovan and his wife, Michelle, announce the birth of their
son, Connor Timothy, on March 4. Jennifer Liddy Green and her
husband, Justin, announce the birth of their son, Brendan,
in February. Green now works for the New York City law firm
of Greble & Finger, litigating employment and labor matters.
Yolanda Williams Rabun and her husband, Dereck, announce the
birth of their son, William Brooks, on Oct. 3. Maureen A. Roy
currently works as the western regional care coordinator for
First Health Services of Montana and continues to maintain
a private practice in mental health therapy; she concentrates
her practice in assisting severely emotionally disturbed children
and their families. Paula K. and Edward M. Ryan announce the
birth of their daughter,
Winifred “Winnie” Patricia, on Oct. 6. Helene A. Shea is a research and development
specialist at Albermarle Corp., Baton Rouge, La. David P. Supple and his wife,
Erica, announce the birth of their son, Ryan James, on April 3. Supple has begun
working for American Airlines, flying 757 and 767 aircraft out of Boston; he
also continues to fly the P-3 aircraft for the Navy Reserve
in Brunswick, Maine.

in Atlanta, Ga. John L. Hornung and his wife, Samantha, announce the birth of
their son, Jackson John, on Feb. 6. John H. “Jack” Lavalette and his wife, Sarah,
announce the birth of their son, Jake Hurley, on May 25. Ann Marie F. Lizzi was
recently named a board of director to the National Board of American Women in
Radio and Television (AWRT) and was awarded a Gold CAB from the Cable Advertising
Bureau. In addition to serving as the production manager for Time Warner Cable
Advertising in Albany, N.Y., Lizzi is the volunteer public relations director
for the Italian American Club, also located in Albany. Maureen E. Maher, who
received her M.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, Ind., now
works as a marketing manager for Sports Illustrated. Kathryn (Gilligan) Monroe
and her husband, Chris, announce the birth of their son, Jacob Christopher, in
October. Teresa (Conery) and J. Russell Morrissey announce the birth of their
daughter, Catherine Haley, on Feb. 11. Karen (Donahue) Pond and her husband,
William, announce the birth of their son, Caden Donahue, on March 14, 2000. Manuel
P. Santos, M.D., and his wife, Katharine, announce the birth of their daughter,
Lelia Eva, on April 16. Santos is the attending physician in the department of
psychiatry at Bellevue Hospital in New York City.

works in the University of Hartford’s counseling center and in a group private
practice in Glastonbury. Michelle (Stemmle) and Steven J. DiMattia announce the
birth of their daughter, Natalie Ann, on Nov. 20. Lt. Michael E. Hayes, USN,
and his wife, Anita, announce the birth of their daughter, Maeson Dowd, on Feb.
1. John L. Kenna was elected grand knight of the Arlington (Mass.) Council of
the Knights of Columbus; he is the fourth generation of his family to belong
to the council. Edith (Wagoner) Klimoski and her husband, Todd, announce the
birth of their son, Cole Jeremy, on April 8. Kimberly (Brimus) Mather and her
husband, Robert, announce the birth of their son, Daniel Timothy, on June 5.

University of Pennsylvania. Patricia G. “Trish” Merlino received her master’s
degree from Cornell University, Ithaca, N.Y. Jodi A. Monaco is pursuing her M.F.A.
in set design at the University of California-Irvine. Jennifer L. Moniz, M.D.,
is in her first-year residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center

year of study in the physician assistant program at Marywood University, Scranton,
Pa. Mark A. Fretta has been selected by the U.S. Olympic Committee to serve as
one of three resident athletes for the sport of triathlon at the U.S. Olympic
Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.; he continues to compete nationally
and internationally as a professional
triathlete. Melissa S. “Missy” Harvey currently attends the Massachusetts General
Hospital Institute of Health Professions, Boston, in the women’s health nurse
practitioner program. Brian J. Issitt accepted a position with the Phoenix (Ariz.)
Police department as a law enforcement officer. The June 16 edition of the Pittsfield,
Mass., newspaper, the Berkshire Eagle, featured an article about Joseph R. Keen
and his recent climb to the top of Mount McKinley in Alaska. B. Michael Ortwein
is currently attending Suffolk University Law School in Boston. Adam T. Preston,
who joined the JVC: Midwest in August 2000, now lives in St. Paul, Minn., and
works as a case manager at a transitional housing shelter for the homeless. Joseph
D. Repshis is currently attending Marywood University, Scranton, Pa., where he
is pursuing teacher certification in health and physical education; he is also
serving as an assistant varsity football coach at West Scranton High School.
