In February, Catamount Energy Corp. announced that James J. Moore has joined the Central Vermont Public Service (CVPS) subsidiary as president; in addition, Moore has been named senior vice president of CVPS. Therese M. Mulvey, M.D., an oncologist with Commonwealth Hematology-Oncology, Quincy, Mass., recently served as a panelist at a seminar entitled, "Lung Cancer: Common Clinical Challenges"; part of an educational series, the seminar was designed to inform medical professionals about new developments in lung cancer treatment. John W. Ryan and his wife, Jacqueline, announce the birth of their daughter, Natalie Jeanne, on Oct. 6. Ryan is a partner in the Washington, D.C., law firm of Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering. Regina O. "Reggie" Sommer is vice president and chief financial officer of Revenio Inc., in Burlington, Mass. Gerling Global Reinsurance Corporation of America in New York City announced the appointment of Harry C. "Chip" Zimmer III to senior vice president and senior property officer.

McCue works as a capital markets specialist for the New York State Banking Department in New York City. Rev. Bruce T. Morrill, S.J., who is on the theology faculty at Boston College, had two books published during the past year, Bodies of Worship: Explorations in Theory and Practice and Amamnesis as Dangerous Memory: Political and Liturgical Theology in Dialogue. Robert E. Wallace, who continues to work for the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C., is now with the Internal Security Section, which handles cases involving national security.

In February, ChannelWave Software Inc., Saratoga, Calif., announced the appointment of Susan J. Darwin as vice president and general manager for the western region. Lawrence W. Doyle has recently been named a managing director and the national sales manager for mortgage-backed securities at the newly formed J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. in New York City. Catherine (Shinskey) Heppell and her husband, Dave, announce the birth of their son, John Barrett, on Sept. 17. Stephen J. Kane, who recently moved to Atlanta, Ga., has been promoted to aircraft scheduler for Delta Air Lines. Mary Anne Glunz Martin and her husband, Burrous, announce the birth of their daughter, Nell, on June 28, 2000. Martin works as a portfolio manager for the Wintrust Asset Management Co. in Winnetka, Ill. In August, Mary Ann Palazzi accepted the position of coordinator for programs at Fairfield (Conn.) University; previously, she had coached basketball for 18 years. Rosemary Mazzaferro Pepin and her husband, Bob, announce the birth of their son, Michael Robert, on July 1. Pepin is president of Good Hair Days Inc., a hair accessories manufacturing business located in Leominster, Mass. The Jan. 9 edition of the Worcester Telegram & Gazette included the article, "Jumping to the Hunt," which described the involvement of Michele J. Perla and her husband, Frank, in the equestrian event, hunter jumping. The Perlas, who own Woodgate Farm in West Boylston, Mass., board and train horses for competition. Michele, who also works as a free-lance graphic designer and adjunct professor of graphic design at Anna Maria College in Paxton, Mass., is the executive director of the American Hunter Jumper Foundation, a nonprofit organization founded eight years ago to promote interest in the sport. Kevin P. Sheahan, M.D., who has recently been appointed chief of DuPont Pediatrics, Dover, Del., is now in charge of 11 pediatric practices in Delaware and southern Pennsylvania. Eileen M. White has been named director of the Charitable Services Group of Goldman, Sachs & Co.; as director, she is responsible for the firm's corporate giving, community outreach and volunteer activities.

Raimo is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in educational administration at Columbia University Teachers College in New York City. Christopher J. Supple has joined the law firm of Holland & Knight as senior counsel in its Boston office. Supple, who is a member of Holland & Knight's public law department, practices principally in the areas of government relations, administrative law, civil litigation, white-collar defense and corporate compliance. Lisa (Port) Vaillancourt recently received the Margaret L. Bauman, M.D., Award for excellence in serving the autism community-for outstanding parent in a volunteer capacity; the award was given in recognition of the work she has done to bring applied behavioral analysis programming-a treatment for autism- to Aroostook County, Maine.

Terence M. Cardew and his wife, Cathy, announce the birth of their son, William, on Aug. 22. Cardew has recently been promoted to tax partner at Ernst & Young in New York City. Suzanne (Hasson) dePillis and her husband, Vincent, announce the birth of their daughter, Katherine Godwin, on Jan. 26. Robert J. Dobie, who received his Ph.D. in philosophy from Fordham University, New York City, in May, is an assistant professor of philosophy at Rosemont (Pa.) College. Paul J. Pyne IV announce the birth of their son, Andrew Michael, on Dec. 5. George has recently been promoted to senior vice president of NASCAR, based in Daytona, Fla. After completing a surgical residency at the New York University (NYU) Medical Center and a fellowship in advanced laparoscopic surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center, Christine J. Ren, M.D., joined the faculty of the NYU Medical Center as an assistant professor in the department of surgery; she is also the director of the NYU program for surgical weight loss. Michael T. Savage and his wife, Elizabeth, announce the birth of their daughter, Margaret Ann. John F. Sweeney and his wife, Linda '86, announce the birth of their son, Theodore Robert, on Jan. 18. Sweeney continues to work at Fidelity Investments in Boston where he negotiates online partnerships. Michael E. Maj. Robert E. Paddock Jr., USA, and his wife, Jane '92, announce the birth of their daughter, Anna Theresa, on Jan. 19, 2000. Paddock was promoted to the rank of major in November.
