Kristen (Cavaliere) Boyd and her husband, Chris '88, announce the birth of their son, James Creagh, on June 12, 1997. Robert W. Carter, S.J., who is currently teaching history at Xavier High School in New York City, has recently been active in the 69th NYSV Historical Association, a Civil War research group in New York. Jennifer (Markey) Golden and her husband, Dennis '89, announce the birth of their son, Matthew Peter, on May 8. Laura (Deters) Zawacki and her husband, Jeffrey '88, announce the birth of their daughter, Kathryn Elizabeth, on Feb. 11, 1998. Zawacki, who continues to work as a pediatric physical therapist, recently became a board-certified pediatric clinical specialist.

Damiata, who is a financial consultant with Aetna U.S. Healthcare, has been designated a certified employee benefit specialist by the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Kimberly Davis-Basso is the director of the Atlantis Playmakers in Billerica, Mass., a non-profit, family-run performing arts group that holds a theatrical camp during the summer for area youth; in July, the group performed Night of January 16th, a play by Ayn Rand. David J. Dixon is in his fourth-year residency in orthopedic surgery at Wayne State University, Detroit, Mich. Tara (Oglia) Fleming and her husband, Patrick, announce the birth of their son, Brendan Patrick, on May 11. In May, David S. Hinton received his M.B.A. from the Wharton School and his master of art's degree in international studies from the Lauder Institute of Management and International Studies, both of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He is now working in fixed income trading with Merrill Lynch in New York City. Raymond T. Jorgensen and his wife, Tabitha '93, announce the birth of their son, Noah Lord, on Feb. 1, 1998. Jorgensen, who recently began his own business, Medical Consulting, Inc. (medical coding and reimbursement specialists), is also a partner in two other new companies, Priority Management Group and Digital Physicians Network. John H. Lavalette, M.D., has completed a medical residency and received an internship diploma from the Connecticut Children's Medical Center in Hartford. While completing his residency, he received a Chairman's Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Pediatric Residency Program. Michael A. Lavelle and his wife, Anne, announce the birth of their son, Michael Gerard, on March 10. Michael J. Lyons, M.D., recently joined the staff of HealthAlliance in the office of Medical Associates Pediatrics located in Leominster, Mass. Patricia (Estrela) Mackay is a bilingual school adjustment counselor with the Worcester Public Schools. Jennifer L. McAulay teaches Spanish in a public high school in Ceres, Calif. Julie Ann Mehegan has joined the Mariner Newspapers as a reporter covering the town of Marshfield, Mass. Christina Faraldo Nolan, who is now with Calvin, Giordano & Associates, an engineering firm in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., is doing plan reviews for several municipalities as well as private client work; she is also teaching a course at Florida University in the master's urban planning program. Kelly (Thompson) Reilly and her husband, Francis, announce the birth of their daughter, Meghan Mary, on May 26. Reilly is currently working as a management training and development specialist for Staples. Jennifer (Waggett) Vogt is now working as a registered nurse in home health care.

On June 7, Ann Marie Bruzzese received her degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School. David J. Crowley, an attorney with Thomas E. Finnerty and Associates in Boston, is practicing civil and criminal litigation. Jennifer J. Dawson is a trading assistant with the Citadel Investment Group, Chicago, Ill. Matthew R. Dintzner is pursuing a postdoctorate course in chemistry at the Scripps Research Center in San Diego, Calif., for two years. Christina McEnery DuMont, who recently received her degree from the University of Cincinnati Medical School, has begun her pediatrics residency at the Children's Hospital of Cincinnati. Marian E. Landau is an applications development specialist with Keystone Savings Bank in Bethlehem, Pa. Braden J. Mechley, who is completing his Ph.D. in classics, has accepted a position at Davidson College in North Carolina. Michelle M. Morey is now the director of development for ETP Inc., a non-profit company that provides training to substance abuse counselors. Kenneth B. Panda, who is pursuing his Ph.D. at the University of Delaware in Newark, has been teaching English in the honors program there; he was recently awarded the 1997-98 University of Delaware English Department Distinguished Teaching Award. In May, Kristin M. Reichardt received her Ph.D. in linquistics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Denise A. Rullo teaches English at Minuteman Science Technology High School in Lexington, Mass. Christopher P. Vogt is pursuing his Ph.D. in theology at Boston College.

Since receiving her M.S.N. degree from the University of Pennsylvania, Suzanne E. Arcuni has been working at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City as a nurse practitioner. Lance M. Brady, who played minor league professional hockey for five years, retired at the end of the 1997-98 season; he is now an account executive for the Worcester IceCats in the American Hockey League. Tabitha Lord Jorgensen and her husband, Ray '91, announce the birth of their son, Nicholas Lord, on Feb. 1, 1998. Jorgensen received her degree from Boston University School of Medicine. James P. (Jay) McLarnon Jr. and his wife, Laura '96, announce the birth of their son, Jack Mathew, on Aug. 7. Christopher G. Monroy has joined the Worcester law practice of Joanne M. Garabedian. Sara C. Naill, an economics and government teacher at Bishop O'Connell High School in Arlington, Va., has been named Junior Achievement's 1998 National Teacher of the Year. Francis R. Powell received his degree from Suffolk University Law School, Boston. James P. Ryan teaches Spanish at Milton (Mass.) Academy. Nancy (Campobasso) Slaney and her husband, Paul, announce the birth of their daughter, Shannon Rose, on May 21. Daniel G. St. Onge Jr. has been promoted to the position of manager in the Hartford, Conn., office of Arthur Andersen, L.L.P. Meghan E. Sullivan received her master's degree in social work from Boston College. Keith A. Vendola, who is currently pursuing joint M.D./M.B.A. degrees at Dartmouth Medical School, Hanover, N.H., and the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Evanston, Ill., has recently relocated to the Chicago area to pursue the M.B.A. portion of the program.

Todd J. Araujo is an attorney in Washington, D.C. Allyssa J. Bates is now working in corporate fitness at the Fitcorp in Boston. Kathleen C. Dawson, who received her degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine, Washington, D.C., on May 23, began her residency in internal medicine at the Georgetown University Medical Center in June. In June, Damon J. DeTeso received his degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester. Capt. Cecilia I. Garin, D.M.D., USAFE, who received her degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Boston, in May, is now stationed in England at RAF Lakenheath where she works as a general dentist. Joanna L. Geraghty is currently an associate attorney with Condon & Forsyth in New York City, specializing in aviation defense work. Crystal Howard Goguen, who is currently working as a "new hire educator" at MBNA America in Belfast, Maine, also does community service for the Make A Wish Foundation of Maine. Kelly Grinnell-Nordstrom continues to serve as the director of student health services at Daniel Webster College in Nashua, N.H. David R. Holmes is currently the host of "Eye Spy Video" on MTV. Brother Peter F. Killeen, F.S.C., who recently completed a two-year assignment at St. Raymond's High School in the Bronx, N.Y., is spending 1998-99 in the DeLaSalle Christian Brothers' novitiate in Napa, Calif. William R. Layden has been working as a manufacturer's representative in Honolulu, Hawaii, since September 1996. Marie E. McDonnell is a student at Boston University Medical School. Jennifer A. McEnery is currently enrolled in the Darden M.B.A. program at the University of Virginia. Jennifer M. Murray is in her final year of law school in Texas. Barbara M. O'Brien received her degree from the New York Medical College, Valhalla, in May. Michelle Pickett Porter is currently working as an attorney in San Diego, Calif. R. Bradford Porter is a Navy Seal. Matthew Rodriguez is a press assistant with the Office of the Democratic Leader in Washington, D.C. Michael A. Shiekh is in his final year at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Alexis Zequeira, who recently completed his fourth year at Kingswood-Oxford Middle School in West Hartford, Conn., has recently been promoted to Form II Master (dean of the eighth grade).

Suzanne Buchta is pursuing her Ph.D. in mathematics at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. In July, Michelle A.L. Burke was promoted to the position of Software Analyst II at IDX Corp. in Boston. Robert J. Callahan Jr. is currently working as a senior auditor for Arthur Andersen in Stamford, Conn. Melissa (Dean) Caron received her master's degree in mathematics from Boston University in May. In August, Sara M. Deveney was the set designer for the performance of Anastasia sponsored by the Cohasset (Mass.) recreation department. Deveney, who is pursuing her master's degree in psychology at the University of Massachusetts in Boston, has been involved in the drama program for the past eight years. Derek R. Reed, who received her master's degree in social work from Boston University, is now counseling cancer patients at North Shore Medical Hospital, Salem, Mass. Karen P. Chesterton is currently a sixth-grade mathematics teacher at the Horace Mann Academic Middle School in San Francisco, Calif. Dean R. Dragoli recently advanced to Ph.D. candidacy at the end of his second year in the University of California-Berkeley chemistry graduate program. Paul F. Healey III is currently pursuing his degree at Suffolk University School of Law in Boston. Marc A. Jacques is pursuing his master's degree in public administration and public policy at Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec. Andrew P. Miele, who received her master of arts degree from Harvard University, Cambridge, Mass., is now pursuing her Ph.D. Theodore J. (Ted) Nicholas, who received his master of science degree in industrial engineering and operations research from Penn State University Graduate School, is currently employed by Fluke Corp. in Seattle, Wash. Jeanine C. O'Brien is currently teaching English at the LaGuardia High School for Music, Art and Performing Arts in New York City. In May, John J. Pappas received his master's degree in education with a concentration in secondary school English from Boston College. Tara-Marie E. Perri, who recently received her M.F.A. degree in dance from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, is currently pursuing her career as a professional dancer and choreographer. Elizabeth C. Sawyko is now working part time at the University of Rochester (N.Y.) Medical Library in order to accept a newly created position at the Sisters of St. Joseph convent infirmary, organizing a recreation program for the elderly and infirm nuns who live there. Patricia A. Shields, who recently received her master's degree in social work from Columbia University in New York City, is now working as a social worker at the New York Center for the Aging. Jason N. Smith, who works as a software engineer at Cheshire Software Inc. in Newton Highlands, Mass., also serves as a database consultant for Outpatient Psychiatry Services at the Boston Medical Center. In November 1997, he received his private pilot's license at Hanscom Airfield, Bedford, Mass.

In May, Mariah Betters completed her first year at the Loyola Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago, Ill. Eileen A. Bradley, who recently finished her JVC year in Boston, is now an actuarial consultant with Price Waterhouse Coopers in Chicago, Ill. Giuseppe (Joe) Conidi, who completed his year with the JVC in San Francisco, Calif., is currently attending Emory University School of Public Health in Atlanta, Ga. Erica L. Driscoll is now working for the International Data Group (IDG), Framingham, Mass., in its international marketing services department. Brian E. Fodera is currently working as a paralegal at the firm of Goodwin, Procter & Hoar in Boston. Paul G. Gerardi is now with Circulation Specialists Inc. in Westport, Conn. Philo D. Hall, who is currently working on the U.S. Senate Committee on Labor and Human Resources, recently was promoted to the Health Care Policy Office of the Committee. Michael C. Hewitt has completed his first year of graduate school in organic chemistry at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Mass. Erica L. Hill is doing research in the department of developmental neurogenetics at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. After completing one year of French study at the Université de Strasbourg in France, Claire M. Hughes spent the summer studying German in Freiburg. David J. Joy is a high school chemistry teacher at Perkiomen Prep, a boarding school in Pennsburg, Pa. Since July, Amy D. Kaiser has been working in the children's book department of Little, Brown & Co. in Boston. Matthew P. Kaufman is now working for BellSouth International in Atlanta, Ga. Donna M. Kerr recently completed her first year of medical school at the University of Rochester in New York. Amy E. Koch works at Investors Bank & Trust (IBT) in Boston. Lisa A. Marcaurelle, who is pursuing her Ph.D. in chemistry, recently completed her first year at the University of California at Berkeley. Rebecca Y. Martel, who has relocated to Maine, is currently working in management information systems at Kennebunk Savings Bank. Thomas F. McGrath Jr., who is relocating to Massachusetts, has accepted a position with Copley Pharmaceuticals as a research and development chemist. James P. McNamara has been promoted to the European global custody division at Brown Brothers Harriman in Boston. Louis A. Monti has completed his first year at the University of North Carolina School of Law at Chapel Hill. Jonathan A. Nitche has completed his first year of dental school at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ). Elena E. Olejnik works in research and development at Advanced Magnetics, a pharmaceutical company in Cambridge, Mass. Erica R. Robbins is an assistant manager at Reebok International, Stoughton, Mass., in its global sports marketing department. Heather K. Russell is pursuing her master's degree in physical therapy at Boston University. 2nd Lt. Jason E. Tauches, USMC, is a logistics officer, stationed at Camp Lejeune, N.C. Benjamin E. Zawacki recently completed his first year with the JVI, teaching world history and English at Xavier High School, located in the state of Chuuk of the federated states of Micronesia.

Hannon, who is with the JVC, serves as an instructional assistant and after-school program director at Santa Teresita School in Los Angeles, Calif. James T. McPhee, who is with the JVC in Los Angeles, Calif., serves as an intake coordinator at Beyond Shelter. Marisa A. McQuaid, who is with the JVC, works with Sojourner Center in Phoenix, Ariz., as a community case manager. Christopher E. Penarubia teaches classics at Boston College High School. Jennifer C.
