Anthony Kuzniewski, S.J., has replaced John Higgins,
S.J., as the rector of the Jesuit community at Holy Cross.
This appointment, received by the Father General in Rome,
was effective Aug. 15. Fr. Higgins was appointed rector of
the Jesuit community at Fairfield University in Connecticut.
Fr. Kuzniewski has been a member of the Jesuit community
at Holy Cross since 1974. He is also a professor in the College’s
history department and author of the forthcoming book, Thy
Honored Name: A History of the College of the Holy Cross,
1843–1994, to be published by Catholic University of
America Press.
In other Jesuit community news, Earle L. Markey, S.J.,
'53, has joined the Office of Admissions full time as associate
director for Jesuit relations.
