Sean M. McCormack, a senior food scientist for Best Foods in Indianapolis, Ind., is currently serving a four-year elected term on the St. John Township (Ind.) Advisory Board. He is also a volunteer fireman for the Lake Hills Fire Department. CFX Corp., based in Keene, N.H., has promoted Timothy J. O'Malley to vice president of its newly organized in-house investor services division. Kathleen M. Randall, who has been promoted to division manager and head of the National Real Estate Lending Group by Fleet Financial Group, Boston, supervises a team of national lenders responsible for the production of new loans and oversees a portfolio comprised of construction and interim loans.

Alyson (King) Karpowicz and her husband, Ken, announce the birth of their son, Matthew Peter, on Aug. 3. David M. Murphy is vice president of agencies for Aetna Life Brokerage in Hartford, Conn. Marie Scullin Quinn and her husband, Kevin '81, announce the birth of their daughter, Margaret Grace, on July 29. Catherine Goucher Utt and her husband, Warren, announce the birth of their son, Christopher Edward, on Dec. 1. Dennis J. O'Connor Jr. and his wife, Ruth, announce the birth of their daughter, Caroline Elizabeth, on Dec. 3. Kathleen P. O'Hagan is associate professor of physiology at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Ill. Barbara (Miller) Pannell and her husband, Greg, announce the birth of their daughter, Lauren Elisabeth, on Oct. 21, 1996. Andrea Y. Provan and her husband, Larry, announce the birth of their daughter, Rebecca Sienna, on April 21, 1997. Andrea is a nurse practitioner at Boston University. Kenneth P. Singleton was appointed general counsel of Cushman & Wakefield Inc. in New York City. Christopher C. Young, M.D., and his wife, Geraldine, announce the birth of their daughter, Caroline Marie, on Jan. 21, 1997. In July, Christopher became chief of the division of critical care, department of anesthesiology, at Duke University in Durham, N.C.

Harrington, USN, has been deployed to the Western Pacific Ocean aboard the dock landing ship, USS Comstock. Richard E. Hoff and his wife, Mary Ann, announce the birth of twins, Madison Grace and Benjamin Christian, on March 25, 1997. Richard has joined Prudential Insurance as a business analyst in its investment division. Lt. Cmdr. Kristen Ten Eyck Iaquinto, USN, a commander in chief (CINC) support officer at the Defense Information Systems Agency in Arlington, Va., provides communication support to the CINC United States Atlantic Command and to CINC Europe. Mary P. Tranter is science department chair at Coyle-Cassidy High School in Taunton, Mass.

Bill is flying the Navy's fighter jet (F/A-18) for a test and evaluation squadron in California. Carolyn Burke Martindale, who completed the master of science nursing degree, Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn., passed the national certification exam for Acute Care Nurse Practitioners. She is currently employed at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta as the lung transplant coordinator. Deirdre (Driscoll) and Robert S. Deirdre is working as a physician assistant in emergency medicine at the Faulkner Hospital and Bob is product manager with Reebok International Ltd.
