On June 3, 2000, the city of Worcester took home the national
All-America City Award for the fifth time in the last 51
years. The All-America City
Award recognizes "exemplary grassroots community problem-solving and is given
to communities that cooperatively tackle challenges and achieve results." A city
delegation accepted the award, sponsored by the National Civic League, during
a ceremony at the Galt House Hotel in Louisville, Ky. William Breault of the
College's physical plant department, served as one of the city delegates.
