Carol A. Bryda, D.V.M., who received her doctor of veterinary medicine degree from Tufts University, Medford, Mass., in May, has accepted an associate position at Derby (Vt.) Pond Animal Hospital. In May, Connecticut state Rep. Robert Ward announced the appointment of Gerald E. "Jerry" Farrell Jr. to the State Marshal Commission, a newly established body of the judicial department responsible for overseeing the duties of the state marshal. Farrell is a member of the Wallingford, Conn., law firm of Farrell, Leslie and Grochowski. Roger T. Favano and his wife, Amy, announce the birth of their daughter, Caroline Celeste, on June 5. In August, North Systems Inc., San Francisco, Calif., announced the appointment of Pamela J. Kostka as vice president of product marketing. Julia Collins Motherway, M.D., and her husband, Michael, announce the birth of their son, William Thomas, on June 9.

Delaney Jr. is a consultant for Kforce.com, a high-tech consulting firm in Boston. Christine M. Donegan, a performance consultant at Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in North Haven, Conn., has been named the chair of the Branford (Conn.) Festival 2000 Committee. Betsy Bodenrader Durning and her husband, Patrick, announce the birth of their daughter, Margaret Emily, on March 23, 1999. Daniel T. Foley and his wife, Karen, announce the birth of their son, Gavin Luke, on Oct. 16, 1999. Foley is currently working for Organon Pharmaceuticals and pursuing graduate studies in epidemiology at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Conn. Valerie (Atkins) Franchi and her husband, John '89, announce the birth of their son, John Patrick, on March 18. W. Kim (Salomone) Gant and her husband, David, announce the birth of their daughter, Kaitlyn Maria, on March 29. Gant, who received her Ph.D. in clinical/school psychology from Hofstra University, Hempstead, N.Y., is currently working as a psychologist at the John F. Kennedy Medical Center. Carolyn (Matthews) Loiselle and her husband, Vance, announce the birth of their daughter, Jacqueline Anne, in January. Patricia (Estrela) MacKay and her husband, Steven, announce the birth of their son, Matthew Steven, on March 10. Dean A. Miner and his wife, Terri, announce the birth of their daughter, Julie Marie, on April 10. From March 8-11, David B. Mitchell organized and ran the Bridge Building Run for Jubilee; the 55-mile run along U.S. Highway 80 took place in conjunction with the 35th anniversary re-enactment of Dr. Martin Luther King's 1965 Voting Rights March from Selma to Montgomery, Ala. Students in Mitchell's history and sociology classes at Masconomet Regional High School in Topsfield, Mass., researched and planned the event which raised funds for the National Voting Rights Museum in Selma. John R. Murray and his wife, Meghan '92, announce the birth of their daughter, Maggie, on March 25. Sarah (Scannapieco) Narowetz and her husband, Ralph, announce the birth of their son, Spencer John, on July 17, 1999. Narowetz is a brand manager for Hunter Douglas Inc. in Broomfield, Colo. Christian M. Newman, who is currently living in Gainesville, Fla., began an environmental education, training and consulting business two years ago; he recently enrolled in a weekend M.B.A. program. Caitlyn Gilhooly Parker currently works as a test engineering program manager at Intel Corp. in Dupont, Wash. Arnold Principal Jr. was the main speaker at the "Jazz in June" charity auction sponsored by A Better Chance Inc. of New Canaan, Conn. Susan (Swentkofske) Reilly and her husband, Paul '88, announce the birth of their triplets, Jake Thomas, Katherine Eleanor and Emma Josephine, in February. James T. Riley is now a senior analyst for Civil Justice Reform and Insurance with Citizens for a Sound Economy in Washington, D.C. Christine (Frassica) Scaplen and her husband, David, announce the birth of their son, Timothy Christian, in June 1999. Scaplen is director of corporate communications for the Internet start-up company, Swift Touch Corp. Holly Marie (Ash) Scharland and her husband, Michael, announce the birth of their son, Cole James, on March 10. Maura Damiata Silbo is a financial consultant with Aetna U.S. Healthcare in Middletown, Conn. Richard A. Squeglia has joined the staff of The Pacesetter Group, Skillman, N.J., as a consultant in the area of business process improvement, business strategy development and implementation, information technology project management and technology-driven organizational change initiatives. Bradley J. Stamm, who continues to work part time with his family's law firm in Williamsville, N.Y., recently accepted the position of senior assistant/legal counsel with the newly elected county executive. Stephen D. "Duke" Storen and his wife, Barbara '92, announce the birth of their son, James Nicholas, on Dec. 22. Storen works as the senior manager at the Heldrich Center for Workforce Development at Rutgers the State University of New Jersey and is pursuing his Ph.D. in urban planning part time. Michael J. Villa and his wife, Lisa '90, announce the birth of their twins, Elisabeth Rose and Anthony Michael, on Jan. 24. Jennifer (Waggett) Vogt and her husband, Chris '92, announce the birth of their son, Bryan Francis, on May 28. Mary H. Walker is the head women's basketball coach at Loyola University in Chicago, Ill.

Ridolfi, USN, and his wife, Donna '94, announce the birth of their son, Adrian John, on May 30. Ridolfi is stationed at the ONI detachment at the Naval War College in Newport, R.I. Alexander L. Ross has joined Pricewater-houseCoopers in the firm's strategic change practice. Marianne E. Savarese, who received her bachelor of science degree in accounting from Fairfield (Conn.) University, is now an accountant with Glencore in Stamford, Conn. Martha M. Torres-Donovan, who received her M.F.A. in graphic design from the School of Design at the Rochester (N.Y.) Institute of Technology, is currently working at the Eastman Kodak Co. as a visual interaction designer for Kodak.com. Michelle R. Tourigny is currently a postdoctoral fellow working at the Weill Medical College of Cornell University in New York City; in April, she received a three-year NIH National Research Service Award fellowship. Paula J. Dirubbo, who received her master of science degree in applied mathematics at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst in May, began working at the M.I.T. Lincoln Laboratory in July. Caroline T. Drzal is currently studying pediatric audiolgy at the University of Connecticut. Brian M. Levis, who works for Xerox Corp. in Salem, Mass., ran this year's Boston Marathon to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. In January, Sharon T. Longo received her master of arts degree in psychological counseling from Monmouth College, West Long Branch, N.J. Erin L. Moulton is pursuing her master's degree in elementary education at Boston University.

Fox III, USN, who is the auxiliaries officer aboard the USS Austin LPD-4, began a six-month deployment to the Mediterranean Sea. Joseph G. Jordan, who works in Washington, D.C., is the director of operations for the Internet start-up company, Backwire.com. Katherine A. Manning, who recently served as a production assistant on the Cable News Network's 20th anniversary special, has accepted a position with NBC television in New York. Laura P. Newcombe is currently attending St. John's University School of Law in Jamaica, N.Y. James R. Piorkowski is completing his first year of medical school at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. Kenneth W. Richardson III has begun his own real estate firm, Foundation Enterprises, in Bridgeport, Conn. Eaton J. Rigg, who recently completed his first year in the Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE) program, currently teaches high school social studies full time.
