Teacher Education Program
The College has a
program
leading to Massachusetts state licensure as a secondary or middle
school teacher, with physics as one of the possible subject areas.
The program requires four courses in education prior to the senior year.
After 100 hours of pre-practicum experience and a Methods of Teaching
course, a semester in the senior year is devoted to a student teaching
practicum. Both the pre-practicum and the practicum occur on site in
Worcester-area schools. The practicum experience counts as three courses
and an accompanying seminar counts as one course in the practicum semester.
Students should contact the
Director of the Teacher Education
Program for further information.
