Latest Results

Publications

In Spring of 2006, I was on Sabbatical leave at Swinburne University in Melbourne, Australia, working with Prof. Peter Hannaford's research group. I investigated the magnetic fields produced by thin magnetic films, particularly the effect of undesired randomness in the magnetization. Some of this work is described in the preprint Effect of Magnetization Inhomogeneity on Magnetic Microtraps for Atoms.

Kendy Hall '02
Now a PhD student at Colorado State U.

Antimatter & Helium Spectroscopy
Previous work at Harvard University in collaboration with Prof. Gerald Gabrielse (1995-2001).

Undergraduate Summer Research Symposium
Held every September, this features the work that students have carried out during the summer, both at Holy Cross and elsewhere. Click the link above for photos and abstracts from some previous years' research symposiums. Announcements and details for each year's symposium are sent out in late spring or early summer.

Society of Physics Students
2008-2009: Prof. Oxley is the SPS Advisor.
If you like physics, join in the activities with the SPS here at Holy Cross! [note: this link is old but does have useful links to the national SPS site etc.]
