When it comes to oscillation, I've got a notion The simplest of all is harmonic motion.
Take a little ball that is going round and round,
That x equals A cosine omega t.
That the ratio of a to x right there
Now a mass on a spring gets a Hooke's law force
So a over x is minus k over m.
Pull the mass aside and then let it go,
And its motion is simple harmonic, I say. |
