Professor Jane Harrison earned a Bachelor of Music degree at Ohio Wesleyan University. She attended the Cleveland Institute of Music, and later received her Master of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music. Ms. Harrison has previously played professionally with orchestras and chamber groups in Virginia and New York City. Currently, she is oboist with Arcadian Winds, a woodwind ensemble specializing in contemporary music. A regular member of Emmanuel Music, she also free-lances actively in the New England area, appearing with the Cantata Singers, the King's Chapel Choir, the Brandeis Contemporary Chamber Ensemble, Alea III, and the Portland Symphony. She has participated in several commercial recordings and radio broadcasts. In addition to Holy Cross, Prof. Harrison is on the faculty of Gordon College, two private music schools in the Boston area, and the Greater Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras.
