Ordering
Library Materials
The Libraries encourage
requests for materials, both print and non-print,
for their collections in order to support the
curricular and research needs of faculty and
students. Faculty requests should be made with
the approval of their department head and submitted
to the library
departmental liaison. Library patrons (including
students) may request order forms from the Circulation
Desk, Reference Desk or submit
an order request online.
Commercial book
ordering databases are available to help
you in your search for bibliographic information.
Requests for "RUSH"
materials (particularly those needed for Reserve),
or requests for materials not directly related
to faculty teaching or research needs, will
be accepted by Nancy Charbonneau,
Acquisitions, ncharbon@holycross.edu
Please fill forms
out as completely as possible, as they provide
the bibliographical information necessary to
verify and fill orders. If complete bibliographical
information is unavailable, we will try to provide
it by checking both print and computer sources.
In place of the forms
we will also accept lists, brochures and publishers
catalogs from faculty members. These should
be accompanied by a note from the requestor
which also includes the signature or initials
of the department head.
Before submitting
an order, please check our online
catalog,
to determine that the Libraries
do not already own the item(s) you need.
