Bishop Fenwick, S.J.


Bishop Fenwick, S.J. This photograph was taken from a painting of Bishop Benedict Joseph Fenwick, S.J. Bishop Fenwick was born in 1782, was ordained in 1825, and died in 1846. He served as the second bishop of Boston. Bishop Fenwick founded the College of the Holy Cross, which opened its doors for students in October of 1843.
