I.Frances Cabrini: Mother of Immigrants- From 1889 to 1917 Mother Cabrini worked among Italian immigrants and, together with her Missionary Sisters, promoted an historical movement of care for the immigrants. 

II. Dorothy Day: Blessed are the Poor- No greater witness of the Christian concern for the poor and dispossessed in the 1930's depression can be found than in the Catholic Worker movement founded by Dorothy Day. Recounting the spiritual journey of the Catholic convert, the program also assesses Day's legacy of non?violence for the modern world.

III. Isaac Hecker – Americanist- A man of the Church, and a man of his time, Isaac Hecker was convinced that the Spirit of God was at work in our history. Misunderstood by even his closest friends, condemned as the embodiment of "Americanism", he harmonized love for America with Catholic loyalty. Hecker's optimistic affirmation of human freedom, so unusual for a nineteenth century Catholic, offers an essential message for the modern Church.

IV.JFK: RC-This video program centers on the critical turning point for the presidential candidacy of John F. Kennedy when he addressed the religious issue in a 1960 speech to a gathering of Houston's Protestant ministers. The speech is placed within the context of American anti­-Catholic movements, culminating in the 1928 defeat of A1 Smith. The program ends by considering whether Catholic candidates for office still face religious bias. 

V. John Courtney Murray- John Courtney Murray, S.J. was the editor of Theological Studies in the 1950’s. His controversial views on the separation of church and state led to his being silenced by Rome in 1955, but they were adopted by Vatican II. 

VI. Daniel Rudd- A black lay Catholic, Daniel Rudd was the editor of the only Catholic newspaper owned and published by African-Americans. He was unique among the black journalists for giving race pride a Catholic seal. His vision and purpose stretched beyond the immediate and provincial to promote a national movement.

VII. John Ryan: Labor Priest- Msgr. John Ryan chartered the course of Catholic principles of social justice in the years following WWI, principles that were to be included into law by F.D.R.'s New Deal. The program examines the origins of those principles in Pope Leo XIII's encyclical "Rerum Novarum", and how they apply in the contemporary realities of our troubled economy.

VIII. Al Smith: Irish Catholic Politician- The life and the legacy of Al Smith is examined in this video portrait of a Catholic who rose to prominence in New York politics as the champion of the working class and ethnic minorities, was nominated by the Democratic Party as its candidate for President in 1928 and was defeated in a campaign marked by anti­Catholic bigotry.

IX.Kateri Tekakwitha: Native American Saint- Child of an Algonquin woman and a Mohawk chief, Kateri Tekakwitha was born in Gandaoague in 1656. Orphaned, half?blind, scarred by illness and of little worth in her own world, she was destined to walk the path of holiness and was declared blessed in 1980. She is a symbol of reconciliation emerging from the collision of cultural, economic and political forces that forged a new nation in the wilderness. 

X. Thomas Turner- The life of Thomas Wyatt Turner (1877-1978) spans the turbulent century after the Civil War from the setbacks of segregation to the triumph of the civil rights movement in the 1960s.
