National Flagship Language Program,

The National Flagship Language Program, administered by NSEP, was developed to address the urgent and growing need for Americans with professional levels of competency in languages critical to national security. NFLP offers advanced language training in Arabic, Korean, Mandarin, Persian, and Russian. NFLP is designed to train participants to reach professional working proficiency in a target language. These two year awards for U. S. citizens who will have completed their undergraduate studies at the time they begin their advanced language study, pat for tuition, living expenses, travel costs and health insurance. Awardees study their chosen language intensively in a domestic program during the first year. The second year is spent in an immersion experience abroad.
