American Assistants in France Program
The American Assistants in France Program is funded by the French Ministry of Education. Approximately 1,500 teaching assistantships are available in French Primary and Secondary Schools. Applicants should be American citizens between 20-34 years old, graduates or undergraduates, with proficiency in French, Previous study abroad in France is not a problem! The stipend this year, after mandatory deductions for health care and social security, was approximately 750 euros per month.
