Membership Application information

Zeta chapter

Overview

Omicron Delta Epsilon is the international honor society for economics (e.g. akin to Phi Beta Kappa). Members receive The American Economist, a well-regarded economics journal.

Requirements

To be considered for Omicron Delta Epsilon, you must:
  • Have taken at least three courses taught by Economics faculty (designated ECON, not ECOA)
  • Have a combined GPA in these Economics courses of at least 3.0

Application materials and process

  • Print out and fill out this application form
    • Notes: The "Chapter name" is Zeta. Leave "Initiation date" blank.
  • Print out a transcript from STAR
  • Write a check for the $30 membership fee made out to Omicron Delta Epsilon
  • Write a separate check for any ODE jewelry item or plaque made out to Omicron Delta Epsilon (see application form for details)
  • Bring all materials to Mrs. Babette Mahoney, Economics Department Secretary, Stein Hall Room 519 by Friday, February 29, 2008
