The Prize was established in 1994 by members of the firm of Arthur Andersen to acknowledge the contribution of the College's senior accounting professor, John D. O'Connell.  The prize honors the junior accounting major who best represents the traditions associated with Professor O'Connell: a record of academic excellence, service to the community and commitment to the profession of public accounting.
