Research Links
You will likely need to go to several sources to find information for your term paper.  The first place to start is the library:
Holy Cross Library web page
You are likely to get the best and most current information from journal articles.  Probably the best source is EconLit, from FirstSearch.  To access EconLit, click on the Electronic Resources button on the main Holy Cross library web page.  Scroll down and look for EconLit, in alphabetical order under the list of "Subject Specific" indices.  You can also get to EconLit (and other useful FirstSearch indices) by clicking on FirstSearch under "General", then on Business & Economics, then EconLit (or another index).  You may find some other indices worth searching there as well.  On EconLit, you can search for relevant articles using keywords, and then look through the abstracts for good articles.  Once you've found an article, check the library catalogue to see if the Holy Cross library carries the journal.  You can search the HC library by clicking on the Search Library Catalogues button on the main Holy Cross library web page.  If out library doesn't have the journal, you can order it through Interlibrary Loan (ILL).  You can make ILL requests by clicking on the Services button on the main library web page.  Another good source of articles are Federal Reserve Bank publications.  Most of the reserve reading articles in class are from Fed publications.  Unfortunately, you have to look up Fed publications individually, from each Fed bank.  Go to each bank, and look at publications from the Research, Economic Research, or Publications links.  Each bank is different, so you may have to explore a little.  You can use the following link below to get to all of the Fed sites.  Use the map, or the list.  Click on Home to go to the Board of Governors site.

When at the library web page, also try clicking on the Search Library Catalogues button to look for books.  If you can't find the books you're looking for in our library, you can try other libraries in Worcester and the rest of the world.  From the main library web page, click on the Electronic Resources button, then on the Catalogues button on the left side of the screen.  If you find a book at another library that you want to check out, you can order it through Interlibrary Loan (ILL).  You can make ILL requests by clicking on the Services button on the main library web page.
