Welcome
Prof. Beaubien
The
Department of Economics is delighted to welcome Professor
Louis Beaubien to our teaching faculty in Fall 2008. Prof.
Beaubien will teach courses in ethics, international accounting,
and managerial accounting. Before joining Holy Cross,
Prof. Beaubien
taught accounting at Providence College, Ecole Superior
de Commerce Brest-Bretagne in Brest, France and the University
of Western Ontario in Toronto. He is completing his Ph.D.
in business from the Richard
Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario
in Toronto, one
of the top business schools in Canada and indeed the world.
Prof. Beaubien previously earned his M.B.A. from the Sobey
School of Business at St.
Mary's University, Halifax, Nova Scotia in 1997, a
B.A. from Dalhousie
University in Halifax,
Nova Scotia in 1994 and
a B.Sc. from Dalhousie University in 1992. Prof. Beaubien
is also a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and holds
a Canadian Securities Certification (CSC). Prof. Beaubien
has also worked as a consultant for Realityclick and for
the Bank of Nova Scotia.
