"Seeking an Understanding Heart," a discussion group moderated by CREC
Senior Fellow Elizabeth
Johns, gives students the opportunity to reflect together on the challenges
that they face as a college student. These challenges include naming
your identity in this stage of life; making and assessing friendships;
deciding on a major; and looking ahead to life after graduation.
Students are encouraged to bring any perspective to our discussion that
they are concerned about--psychological, sociological, historical, and
spiritual among them.
The group will devote two sessions to each theme. We meet biweekly
in eight sessions, from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. in the conference room of the
Center for Religion, Ethics and Culture (Smith 303), with coffee, juice,
bagels and muffins provided. Students are encouraged to sign up for
all eight sessions, but may also drop in for one or two. Contact
Prof. Johns, ejohns@holycross.edu for more information or to sign up.
