Welcome

Jesuit education understands that faith and learning are partners in liberal education. The Center for Religion, Ethics and Culture invites and facilitates conversation about basic human questions of meaning, morality, and mutual obligation.

The Center provides faculty resources, sponsors conferences and college-wide teaching events, hosts visiting fellows, and coordinates several campus lecture series, including programs for faculty, students and alumni. In addition to serving the needs of those on campus, the Center reaches out to the larger Worcester community, and works with other liberal arts colleges to examine the role of faith commitment and value inquiry both in education and in the larger culture.

The Center engages persons of all faiths and aims to enrich the spiritual life and sharpen the moral reasoning of all who participate in its work. Accordingly, its programs foster dialogue that respects differences, and provides a forum for intellectual exchange that is inter-religious as well as interdisciplinary, intercultural, and international in scope.
