The Resurgence of Religion in Global Politics
Monica Duffy Toft, co-author of God's Century: Resurgent Religion and Global Politics, explains how — despite predictions for a secular society — modernization, democratization and globalization have actually increased religion's influence on global politics. Toft is associate professor of public policy at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government and directs the Initiative on Religion in International Affairs. She spoke at Holy Cross on October 18, 2011.
