Teaching Overview

Professor Van Doren teaches a wide range of courses in the Department from topics courses for non-majors to advanced courses for majors. Her areas of specialty are analytical, physical and environmental chemistry. She particularly enjoys working with students in the lab and in using student generated data to present and teach concepts in class. Her courses are interactive and demanding.

Students who are highly motivated can become involved in reserach projects with Professor Van Doren. If you are interested in this option, schedule a meeting with Professor Van Doren to learn about the projects available, talk with other facutly members in the Department about their research opportunities, and complete the departmental research application. Summer research is also possible.
