Sample Schedule
Chemistry Major / Biochemistry Concentrator
Courses in italics are overloads
Note that General Biology II with lab is NOT a requirement
of the concentration.
Also, if one elects to take research with a Biology professor,
this will count as a course both semesters, but does not
count as a Chemistry elective.
This sample schedule does not purport to substitute
for the information found in the College Course Catalog.
The Course cataloge is the only legally-binding forum for
the listing of graduation/major/concentration requirements.
You may need to take further overloads to fulfill your graduation
requirements, depending on your schedule.
For ACS certification in Biochemistry (class of 2007 and
later) Biology elective must consist of Cell Biology, Microbiology
or Genetics. For all classes, this course must be approved
by the concentration directors.

It is possible to be in both the Honors Program and the Biochemistry
Concentration.
It is possible, although difficult, for Concentrators to be in the Teacher
Certification Program. However, EARLY coordination of these programs
is necessary.
Students who participate in Study Abroad will have a difficult time
fulfilling the Concentration requirements. |
