Sample Schedule
Biology Major / Biochemistry Concentrator

Courses in italics are overloads

Also, if one elects to take research with a Chemistry professor, this will count as a course only one semester and does not count as a Biology elective.

Please note that Classical Physical Chemistry is not always offered in the Spring semester; this varies from year to year. You MUST take Classical P-Chem. Modern is recommended but CANNOT substitute for Classical.

You still must meet all requirements of the Biology major, including distribution requirements.

This sample schedule does not purport to substitute for the information found in the College Course Catalog. The Course cataloge is the only legally-binding forum for the listing of graduation/major/concentration requirements. You may need to take further overloads to fulfill your graduation requirements, depending on your schedule.

It is possible to be in both the Honors Program and the Biochemistry Concentration.

It is possible, although difficult, for Concentrators to be in the Teacher Certification Program.  However, EARLY coordination of these programs is necessary.

Students who participate in Study Abroad will have a difficult time fulfilling the Concentration requirements.
