A completed application consists of the following:

1) A written statement (one to two pages typed) by the student applicant stating why this program interests you and how it will benefit your educational goals while at Holy Cross.  Please comment on the prospect of doing independent research during your senior year.  We are not asking for a research proposal or the name of an advisor; we are interested in learning why this opportunity is important to you. 

2) Recommendations from two faculty members in the Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Physics Departments.  Please provide these individuals with a recommendation form (downloadable here).

3) A completed cover page (downloadable here).

4) A copy of your current transcript (not a grade report) printed from STAR. On the front of your transcript, please write your current math and science GPA. With the information from your current transcript, you can use this on-line calculator to determine your current math and science GPA.

Remember, your personal statement is the most important part of the application process.

Return your completed application to either the Biology or the Chemistry Departmental Office.
