PCD-85 Closed
Caption Converter
Unlike TVs, video
projectors do not have built-in closed captioning. We have installed PCD-85
Closed Caption Devices on projectors.
The Closed Caption
Decoder is simple to operate - only two settings concern displaying closed
captioning.

Figure 1 |
1.
Closed Captioning - OFF
With the dial set to the OFF position as shown in figure 1,
to the left, the video will be shown in the default mode: No Closed
Captioning |

Figure 2 |
2.
Closed Captioning - ON
With the dial set to the CC1 position as shown in figure
2 to the left, (note the green LED is on) the video will be shown
in the Closed Captioning Mode, which will display closed captioning,
if present on the tape. *
Other modes: CC2, T1 and T2 are not used in this application.
|
* Not
ALL videotapes are closed captioned (especially older ones) - commercial
tapes that are closed captioned will display the closed caption symbol
on the box and or cassette.
Tapes recorded Off-Air will have it, if the TV show was close captioned.
