Dinand
Library

Originally opened in 1927, the Dinand Library expanded in
1978 with two new wings dedicated to the memory of Joshua
and Leah Hiatt and all the victims of the Nazi Holocaust.
The Main Reading Room combines a comfortable scholarly setting
with advanced technology including wireless capability for
laptop use and several public access computers. While offering
ample space for quiet study and research, there are additional
PCs stationed throughout Dinand along with 120 data-ports
for network connectivity.
The Holy Cross Community has 24/7 access to a host of library-sponsored
electronic indexes and abstracts, electronic journals, electronic
reserves, e-books and an integrated online web catalog; all
of which are available remotely. The Scalia Electronic Classroom
and Faculty Development Lab are located on the second floor.
The records of the College are maintained in the third floor
Archives and Special Collections department, which was recently
redesigned to provide a state-of-the art, climate-controlled
and secure environment for the College’s collections.
In addition to Dinand, the Holy Cross Libraries include
the O’Callahan Science Library, Fenwick Music Library,
Rehm Library and a partnership with the Worcester Art Museum
Library thus providing access to over 650,000 volumes.
