FYP Students

Each
year students who join the FYP represent a broad
cross-section of the Holy Cross student body.
They major in all areas of the curriculum: the
humanities, social sciences, sciences and the
arts. They participate in a full-range of College
activities: inter-collegiate and intramural
sports, community service work, theatre productions
and music ensembles, student publications, all
manner of student organizations and student
government. They come from every region of the
U.S. and many come from abroad. Together, the
members of the FYP form the most active residential
group on campus.
The
Sophomore Mentors:
Each year a number of First-Year Program students
return to Hanselman Hall as sophomores to provide
leadership in the residence and to help students
in the Program "learn the ropes'' at Holy
Cross. The students are chosen by the FYP Director
and the Assistant Director for Residence Life
after a competitive application process.
If you have questions about the First-Year Program
and Holy Cross and want to get a first-hand
perspective, send an e-mail with your questions
to a mentor:
