Students
will take a minimum of 12 courses, including
4 introductory/intermediate science courses, at least 3 with lab, such
as BIOL 131 & 132, CHEM 101, 221, PHYS 111 & 112 (or
115 & 116).
an introductory course in environmental studies, such as Environmental History

environmental policy course
1 environmental economics course is strongly recommended (pre-requisite is ECON 112)

intermediate/advanced environmental science courses including
at least one lab

environmental studies courses in the humanities

additional intermediate/advanced environmental courses in
any discipline
Majors
in Environmental Studies will generally perform a research
project or be involved in a capstone experience that will
count as an advanced course(s). In addition, other appropriate
tutorials, internships and research projects may also count
as intermediate/advanced courses with approval.
Students
are encouraged to consider fulfilling some of their requirements during a semester away, through approved programs such as the School for Field Studies and the SEA Semester where they will be immersed in full-time study and research (and receive 4 course credits).
